Lois Haskell
Growing up in a small, New England town with a large artist community gave me the opportunity to study with many excellent artists in the area.
I never lost my love of painting and began again to paint regularly in 1994. Since then I have studied with many Northwest artists and attended workshops given by well-known artists such as Betty Carr, William Hewson, Catherine Gill, Teresa Saia, Kay Barnes and Owen Hall.
I consider myself a “colorist” as the creative use of colors in both watercolor and oils is my first consideration when painting.
Painting the Northwest landscape has become a passion and many of my Northwest paintings are in private collections around the country.
Several of my paintings have been juried in to local art shows, including EAFA and the Kenmore shows. I have had several “one woman” shows in businesses around the Eastside.
