Chuck Johnson
Chuck Johnson was born in New York in 1941. He lived as a small
child in Springfield, Massachusetts and then Southern California.
Although an athlete as a young man playing with the Chicago Cubs
farm team, he has had a love for photography since he was nine years
old.
After leaving the Cubs organization he attended Brooks Institute of
Photography in Santa Barbara, California. Upon graduation he moved
to Hemet, California where he owned and operated a photography
studio for over 30 years. He did all types of photography, but his
passion has always been fine art.
He did his first one-man show at Mt. San Jacinto College in 1990.
After leaving the photography business and owning and operating a
winery in the Temecula Valley, he is now devoting his time to his
love of fine art photography.
The very heart of his work shows his deep love for God. He has a
sense of wonder and love for the beauty God has created, which shows
in all of his photographs of sometimes the very simplest of
subjects. With his use of the computer to enhance his work he is now
producing Giclée prints in both black and white and color.
