Well known artist of the Northwest.
Interviewed on KING-5 Evening Magazine for Trails of the Northwest paintings - an episode that was nominated for an Emmy. Featured in the 20th Anniversary collection of unusual artists on Evening Magazine. Having won awards and marketed “Rocks with attitude” through the Renton River Days Juried Show. Along with winning Blue-Ribbons & Best in Division awards for crafts & calligraphy (as well as doing exhibitions, demos and marketing in the Fine Arts Juried Show) of the Western Washington State Fair (a.k.a.: The Puyallup) for numerous years. Exhibiting art private & public, ever learning & expanding, researching, attending as well as giving demonstrations, meeting other artists, teaching, sharing.
Contracted to decorate two “Pigs” for the Pike Place Market Foundation. Contracted to decorate a “Nutcracker” for the Seattle Ballet , the piece sponsored by KING5 TV.
Board member of EAFA – the Eastside Association of Fine Arts.
Primarily fancies using acrylic - on canvas, glass, wood, denim, paper, as well as wash/watercolor; along with a great deal of Prismacolor drawing; also charcoal; graphite; mixed media; etc… Also thoroughly enjoys ceramics, woodwork, carving & metal design.
With a General Arts BA from the University of Washington, many topics and methods are covered.
