Susanne Werner
‘Making art is feeling and seeing what’s around you.’ Born and educated in Germany, I began painting with watercolors in High School, adopting other media in later years. My informal art education includes courses and workshops at the Boston Museum of Fine Art School, the DeCordova Museum School in Lincoln (MA), and Sir George Williams University in Montreal, Canada. In addition I have attended national and international workshops and classes in various media. I returned to watercolors in early 1995. More recently I have switched to acrylics and collage. I have been juried into a number of national shows. I am a juried member of Women Painters of Washington, a member of the Northwest Watercolor Society, Eastside Fine Art Association, and Mercer Island Visual Art League. I have had solo exhibitions at the Concord Cooperative Bank, Concord MA, Bellevue WA City Hall, Bellevue Public Library, and have been part of Group shows including the Seattle Art Museum Volunteer show, Westwind Gallery, Casper WY, the Period Gallery, Lincoln NE, Breckenridge Fine Arts Center TX, Punta Gorda FL Art Association, Louisiana Art & Artists Guild.
